Decorating

Jenny's room. Mom made the zebra quilt on her bed!!! This was my bed except it got a white to black facelift for Jenny.
The balls are courtesy of Adam and Haley's wedding! Thanks guys! The J was from her old room.
"Family" is UpperCase Living from LaShawn.
Tori came and helped decorate above the cabinets. She was a tremendous help! Thank you!
Jenny's washing dishes. She loves to do this!!!! I hope it's a lasting thing.

Stopping to smell the flowers at the mall today.

June

Jenny was very reluctant to get on, but after I just threw her on...she LOVED it! It helped that Addi loved it too and wasn't scared : )
Now she's riding solo, stepping out on a limb!
I think this horse is good to go as long as it had a bite in it's mouth.
This is what you call a "grandma (or Grammy, Aunt Petra, and Mimi) moment"!!!!
But look at the subjects of the photograph...they are pretty cute! : )
Big helpers-washing dishes.
Mom, Jenny, and Petra before church
We got a lot of decorating done while mom was here. We went out to Coyote Candle and Jenny found this Aunt Jemima made out of lead (not really, but it was super heavy). She called it her "Baby Jesus".
Jenny with her Violet.

Jenny's 1st "poop knots", that's what a friend at Earth calls this hair-do. It is soooo easy and Jenny loved to shake and nod her head and make them shake. I asked her if she had poop knots in her hair and she said, "NO, I not have poop in my hair!!" So we just call them crazy dog ears now-which she chooses just about everyday--fine by me, it's easy and quick!
The big cartwheel!
Jenny and her friend, Kinann at Critter Fest! She sat through the entire tiger show this year and even fed the goats and stuff this year too!
She got this balloon at the Science Spectrum. When we got home I tied it to her stroller. The next morning I heard her yelling, "Get up! Get up!" I walked in the room and asked her what was wrong. She said, "Tell it to get up!" Yes, she was talking to the rapidly deflating balloon!
Queen of the rock pile at Papa's!
We got back up to Earth this week. Some of the other great-grandkids were there too. This was a very rare, quick, still moment with Memaw.
The balancing act!
Last, but certainly not least...Jen and Justin (and Sweetie Belle too!).

Splashing a bit

Crystal, Ethan, Ellie, and Melissa came to play. We splashed in the pool a bit, and watched the yellow airplane take-off and land.

The airplane is a super exciting event for Jenny every time she sees it. Even when she sees it 10 times in one day the 10th is just as exciting as the 1st! One time the wheels squeeked when he landed and Jenny asked, "Why is the airplane barking? Oh, Lacy (their dog--remember Jenny used to bring her in the house and show her her room) must be driving the plane today!" She cracks me up!! We have entered the million questions phase and it is so interesting to hear her thought process out loud.
Crystal, Ellie, and Ethan (not knowing he was being photographed b/c he wouldn't stop to pose for a picture)! : ) Jenny just loves to play with him.

Memorial Weekend 2010

I want to start by saying that I am thankful for all of the men and women who currently serve, have previously served, and for those who have lost their lives to protect the rights and freedoms we are so blessed to have in the United States. All 4 of Jenny's great-granddad's served!

For the past 5 years we have spent the 3 day weekend at Possum Kingdom Lake with family and friends (that we consider family). Mandy and Case hanging out by the water! Tia, aka "Rose" (from Titanic). This is on Mandy and Tully's new boat, but I'm not sure it's called the Titanic. I need to ask what the name of the boat is.
Jenny is sitting here with me helping to commentate each picture, so she said, "Oh!!! Swimmin' in the lake!!"
Jenny is waving bye to Justin. If you look just to the right of her hand you can barely see him.
Justin wake boarding. Fun times!
Jenny and Kinann, hanging out by the pool at camp!
On the way home, we stopped by Lake Kemp where Justin's grandparents cabin is. Jenny is one pooped pup.

Jenny 1st Tumbling Meet!!

Jenny- slowly learning it's okay to splash in the water in her rain boots.

Yes, the house is finished, we moved in 3 weeks ago, and there are many pictures to share. However, Jenny had her 1st tumbling meet last Saturday and for now it is at the top of the list to share.

She goes to Acrospirits in Levelland. Her teachers are Sherry Mulkey and Will Green. Jenny is the 3rd generation to go to gymnastics here. Keith (Justin's dad) and Sherry took together, with Sherry's mom as their coach, Shirley. Shirley passed away about a year ago and the meet on this day was dedicated to her. Then Justin had gymnastics, with Sherry as his coach.

Jenny did tumbling and trampoline. It was so neat to watch all the kid-o's. There were 8 girls in her group. I just knew she would clam up when she heard everyone clapping and looking at her, but she was great. She finished each of her routines with a big ta-da! The little girl that placed with her each time's mom and I played AAU b-ball together back in the day. The little girl who got 1st place each time's dad used to go to gymnastics with Justin. "It's a small world after all."

Granddad Thurman, Memaw Pat, and Papa Keith came to watch, and of course, dad and mom!

A few house things, a baby calf, a trampoline, and a tea!

The utility sink. What an exciting way to start this blog--it does get better : ) !!
Jenny on her new potty--I hope we can get her to use it!!! Crossing our fingers. We got a standard potty for Jenny's bath and taller ones for the 1/2 bath and master.
The dishwasher--I liked the buttons on top.
My "soaking" tub; no jets--exactly what I wanted : ) !!!!!
The vanities have (single handle) faucets--another: exactly like I wanted.
Tile going up around Jenny's tub--pretty.
We had dinner at some friends house. The family has adoped a baby calf whose mother died while giving birth. They get to bottle feed it, and it is best friends with their dog!! It is a spunky little thing; so sweet!!!! Jenny looked forward to seeing the baby calf all day, then she wasn't too sure about touching it--but did get this close for a picture.
They also had a trampoline which is Jenny's most favorite thing to do!! She cried when we got in the car to leave b/c she wanted to jump some more!!
The church had it's Annual Ladies Friendship Tea on Sunday!! This is soooo much fun--tea, friends, a game, and a devo!! Everything was decorated so beautifully! It is such a neat event!! I got to serve/keep the kitchen going this year. What a great experience.
Did I mention super yummy treats as well!?!?! Everything I ate was delicious--I found out later that I missed Gwen's fudge--I was majorly bummer about that--I guess I didn't need any more calories or sugar at that point. : )
