Happy 4th of July! Jenny and I went to the 4th on Broadway and watched the parade and walked around a bit! Justin worked a food booth with some friends.
Our flag cake, yes there are 50 blueberries!! I made homemade ice cream too so at out get together none of the cake got eaten, but I must say it was delicious!!! (Probably because I used a whole can of icing!)Rene got to be here two weekends in a row because she went with her mom to Ruidoso. It worked out perfect that she could be here one weekend for her aunt and uncle's 60th wedding anniversary party and the next weekend for Early Settler's Day!
Jenny playing at the park--we went in the morning, but it got hot pretty quick so we didn't get to stay long. At 10:00 the slides were already too hot!
After a wonderful family get together in Hillsboro for a wedding, we went to the Dallas Aquarium! It was really neat, and a perfect thing to do indoors on such a hot July day! Mom and Dad stopped by with us on their way home from the wedding too! Fun day!!!
29 weeks pregnant with baby boy, who still only has a middle & last name. ______ James Sullivan. Time will tell, and hopefully the perfect name will come to us!
After the aquarium we went and stayed with my cousin and her family--so great to catch up. The next day we took in the Grapevine Mills Mall--another super great thing to do on such a hot day!! Justin rode the carousel with Jenny while I took pictures and enjoyed a tasty fruit smoothie!
Jenny rode a train.
We went into Rainforest Cafe and Jenny made a build a bear, but not a bear--an elephant that she named Ellie the Elephant! I think Justin had just as much fun as Jenny! :)
Since we were right there we stopped by the Bass Pro Shop and Jenny took her picture with the "died" bear. That night when I asked her what her favorite thing was from today, she said sitting on the "died" bear--of all things, I was sure it would be the train or making Ellie or something besides sitting on a bear! :) :)
That night we stayed with some friends in Weatherford and caught up with them!! The next day we headed part of the way home and stayed at Possum Kingdom--my favorite lake!!! Jenny and I both learned to drive the boat. The water was smooth and there were very few boats out so it was a perfect time to learn.
We got home and did a few things around the house and then headed back out to White River Lake with Keith and Robin. It's so nice to be able to run out there for just the day and swim and cut up a bit and then head home. Jenny's really loving the water more and more as the summer goes on!
Jenny got a feather in her hair--lime green! She thinks it's pretty cool.
Jenny was in her first parade at Idalou's Centennial Celebration! We had fun riding on the float in the parade and going to several of the weekend's activities--it's was a super busy, but super fun weekend!!!
