The house is coming along...Part 1

I am soooo far behind on posting pictures. These were all taken before March 5. I will try to post Part 2 tomorrow.

This is the crown molding in our bedroom. There is a rectangle cut out in the ceiling--it is really neat-o!!
These are Jenny's closet doors, but you can see what all of our interior doors will look like.
This is the broom closet (left) and pantry closet (right) in the kitchen.
This is my vanity and you can see the toliet room to it's left. Justin's vanity is just like mine on the other side of the door (right).
Jenny's and the extra bedroom closets. The shelves are in the middle and there are double bars on both ends.
The trim work around the doors of the jack and jill bathroom. Also on the base boards.
This is where the utility room sink will go. The washer will go to the right of these cabinets. Through the doorway to the left you can see where the sink to the 1/2 bath will be.
They poured our porches and the cement in front of our garage. It makes the porch area look so much bigger!!
This is the crown molding in the living/dining & kitchen area. The celings are different levels as you can see to the right of the fireplace, but they made the crown molding look awesome where the different levels meet up!

Jesus Loves Me

Jenny has been such a busy little girl this past week. I didn't get many still shots; mostly video so I don't have many picts to put up of all the fun things we did. Last Friday we went to Ready, Set, Go. It had most of the same trampolines and such that she has at gymnastics so she thought that was great!! On Wednesday night we went to Jump-N-Jungle for Addi and Kenlea's 2nd birthday party! She had a ton of fun and was really worn out after. Here she is at gymnastics with Mrs. Sherry. She is the one in the middle. I'm glad I got this pict b/c it looks like she is following the teacher; she actually doesn't follow on the floor very well.
I turned the glasses around and asked her if it felt better, and she said, "No, not too much." and turned them back upside down. So silly!!
She's checking things out--outside her bedroom window.
Taking a pict just like mama. It was sooo funny!!!
Last night Jenny sang, "Jesus Loves Me" with her music. It is a huge deal to listen to "my music" in the car!

Hello.

It seems like things are going so quickly at the house. I can't keep up with the progress. This week they have put up the crown molding, some base boards, & the interior doors. They have also officially finished the roof, and cleaned up the junk brick and such around the outside!! Maybe I'll get those pict up sometime.

This is Jenny's bathtub. I showed it to her after they insulated the exterior walls (the insulation fell in the tub). She said, "There's poop in du baf!"
Yes, it snowed AGAIN before the roof was finished.
The fireplace has been bricked!!
Jenny is pretty easily entertained, luckily!! She got some pink kitty rain boots that she thinks are pretty cool!
The mini-wall is up for the island. Also, the walls are textured!
I really like the ceiling in our bedroom!
An almost finished roof!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hanging Out with Jenny

We've re-introduced Jenny to the Wii (after about a year break)! She loves boxing and baseball the most! She is very funny.
Jenny has found her favorite place at Memaw Pat's house. She is a professional typer! The other day we were at our computerat home and she asked where her computer was, and I told her she had to share with us. She told me very matter of factly that Santa would bring her one. She has that figured out! Anyhow, she can "type" as she pleases at Memaw's so that's pretty cool!
Jenny playing in the snow with granddad. She wasn't really sure about walking in the snow, but once she got out there she definitely didn't want to come in.
Jenny went to a Pinkalicious birthday party!! All of the girls were sooo cute--it was a great idea--we might have to copy someday. She was so shy during the party, but couldn't stop talking about it and singing HB to the birthday girl (and many others) after we left!

Busy Week at the House

Talked to the builders today and they are projecting 6 weeks left!!!! That means mid-to-end of March! That doesn't mean we will move in 6 weeks due to inspections and other paper work, but still WOW--that seem's super fast to me! There have been some very busy bees at the house this week--lots going on. They insulated the exterior walls, put up the dry wall, and patched it all. Next will be texturing and painting the walls! This is looking at the dining area; we are ordering our kitchen appliances tonight.
The living area.
They also started bricking this week. This was one of the hardest decisions I think we've had to make--color of brick, mortar, trim, and roof!
I have ended up loving our choices!!! They have just roofed over the garage, but I can tell how the colors will look together anyway.
All of these picts were taken yesterday and as you can see, not too much roof is on. And yes, we got rain/sleet/snow today--I really hope the tar paper will keep all of the precip out and off of the walls and such. At least we shouldn't have the huge mess we had with the Christmas snow storm. That was something!

House Updates

Jenny staying warm in her snow suit!!
Framing on December 23rd.
It snowed the night of the 23rd; then a crazy wind came and make huge snow drifts. This was taken at the house on Christmas day. I wonder if next year on Christmas day we will think back to these images? This is taken of the kitchen (just in front of me you can see the pipe for the electrical outlet that will be in the island) and the dining room (across the room).
Again on Christmas day. The back side of the house. Pretty snow patterns!!
Justin and Jenny at the front door on December 27th!
They finished decking the roof and wrapped the walls so when they brick the house the mortar won't get into the wood on New Year's Eve. We also have windows and doors now too.
The snow in the house had mostly turned to ice, but the decking is already on so it would take forever for it to go away on it's own--so we helped. This picture is looking down the hall from our bedroom to Jenny's room--her window is straight in front of me. The kitchen window is to the left.
The de-icing on New Year's Day! What a mess!!!! The front door is on the right and Keith, Jenny, and Justin are standing in the living room. Our bedroom is behind them and then our bathroom.
The roof has felt/tar/some-kind of paper now. I forget the correct word.
January 4th.
Also Jan. 4th-Back bedroom windows on left, then kitchen sink window, back door, dining window, then garage.

Jenny's Christmas

Jenny got a hair cut on Christmas Eve. We battled through the huge drifts of snow to get around that day. Just stepping out into the wind that day was like jumping in an ice cold pool of water--it literally took my breath away!!
Justin made this great little play house for Jenny for Christmas! He did a really great job--and Jenny loves it! We put her little kitchen inside and she loves to cook and play tea with anyone who will go inside with her. It was so bitterly cold on Christmas morning that we couldn't let her play for very long.

Christmas morning. Jenny got a camera from Santa--she carried it around the house telling everyone, "Santa brought it."
This is Jenny's "cheese"!!
