Jenny's new gymnastics outfit!!

Jenny's got a shiny new red gymnastics leotard!!! It makes her more professional! ; )
Her big finish----"TA DA!" with Mrs. Sherry.
Jenny practicing ringing the doorbell. She got pretty good in about 30 seconds. ; )
They put the posts on the back porch.
The clouds rolling by--what a sight! This was on Wednesday. Mandy said on Thursday that the NewsChannel 11 crew parked in front of their house to video!!
The lake that was created last week and weekend.
Kitchen sink.

The kitchen--now has cabinet hardware, lights, counter tops, a microwave, and sink!

Some Jenny, some house, some fun!

This is what all of our bathroom sinks look like. We really wanted the rectangle shape--I'm glad we were able to have them.
The tile is layed and even grouted in the big room and hall way. They had to fix our shower, and did this week so maybe they can finish tiling the shower and around Jenny's tub and finish grouting the bathrooms. You can see in the floor where the carpet will go if you look hard--there's about a 3' walkway around the room and the carpet will go in front of the fireplace.
All of the door knobs look like this.
The "mud bench" part of the utility/laundry/mud room.
The utility counter tops--no sink hole cut yet. Also the cabinet hardware is on.
Jenny at gymnastics on the double mini. Sherry and Will are here teachers--mother and son. They are both wearing green on this day!
We got to go to Earth on Tuesday! We played at Memaw & Granddad's with Cade, Kenlea, and LaShawn. It's always so good to go "home" and catch up with family!
Wednesday--EE came out to play! Fun day!! Jenny loves E.E. She thinks they should play every day!!

Happy Easter!

Jenny is studying her loot! She got a lot of eggs and candy and the uno moo game from Grammy & Poppy! She was also spoiled by Nay Nay & Pops with an Easter dress and candy and by Papa and Robyn with a huge basket with an Easter bunny and a baby!

Jenny's shirt says "I love sunny days!" Well let me tell you that this is her 3rd Easter and by far the most beautiful!! We do love sunny days and today was perfect for hunting eggs!!!
Jenny with her eggs! She shook all the eggs when she would find them. She wouldn't always say something, but she got to one egg, shook it and said, "Yummm, M&M's. No, IT'S MONEY!!!!!!!" I thought she was pretty clever for figuring that out, and her excitement was funny.
Enjoying the M & M's. She got M&M's and Special Dark Hershey's Chocolates. I think it's funny that she loves dark chocolate so much! She and her Granddad James and Memaw Jean! I saved some for them too! : )
On to the house. We went out yesterday and took a load out to the "Evergreen". I told Justin we are going to call it the evergreen instead of just plain-o storage. We are planning to paint it to match the trim on the house (it is called Charro). So when we paint it we will call it "Ever-charro". Anyhow, this is the tile in the mud room/laundry room. They have pretty much finished laying it and only lack grouting.
They put the posts on the front porch. We really wanted railing, but are going to have to do that later. Kind-of a huge bummer, but oh well. The posts look nice though. Tomorrow they are going to put the hardware on the cabinets & vanities, put the door knobs on and the t.p. holders and towel hooks up.

Jenny and the Ponies

In March we finally got to go meet Taylee Tully, Charlie and Brittney's 4 month old daughter. She is a super happy baby! Well, Jenny borrowed Taylee's pony Pogo and went for a ride. It took her most of the morning to warm up to the idea, then all of a sudden there she went. They have a beautiful place with great views!
The next weekend we got to go with the Martin's to their cabin. Kinann took Justin and Jenny for a tour on the horses. We had a really great time relaxing and visiting, and the weather couldn't have been any better!!! So Jenny likes ponies for now. She has a pal puppy, Violet--you know the Leap Frog one. Anyway, we changed her favorite animal to a pony.
Jenny with her cousin, Ethan or E.E. as she says. They always have so much fun together!
Our new sofa. After going through 5 stores, we finally found a good match for both of us at Lack's! I totally recommend furniture shopping there.
They finished painting yesterday! Actually touch-ups are today, but all the interior was yesterday! It looks great! They painted the walls and ceilings the same color and it makes the white trim stand out! We really like it.
The paint around the fireplace. When they glazed the kitchen cabinets and mantel, they also glazed the brick on the fireplace. It makes the colors so much richer--beautiful!
Cabinets up close. The microwave will go in the hole under the short cabinet, and the stove/oven will go under that.
We got an evergreen sea container to use for storage. It is 40' long and 9' tall. It really is so much bigger than I thought, but I have absolutely no sense of space. We are going to build a deal off the side of it to park trailers under; that way when we want to go camping we have it right there!
They painted the garage doors to match the rest of the trim. They started laying tile today. Justin went out around noon and they were already finished with Jenny's bathroom. They said it would take about one more day of laying and then one more day for grouting!! They are crazy fast busy bees!! That's all just the floor. Then they will do Justin's shower and the backsplash in the kitchen. It's so neat to see all these little details come together like this towards the end.

House...Part 2

This is our neighbor dog, Lacy. She is the calmest blue heeler/still kind of a pup I've ever seen. Jenny just LOVES her! She usually wants to know if Lacy can come over to play when we're driving up to the house. If she comes over, Jenny has to take her to see her room. She says, "Lacy, this is my room. This is my closet. This is my sink. This is my bath tub. This is my potty. ... " She gives her the "exclusive" tour!! The other day, Lacy ran home and Jenny was simply devistated! She cried for 5 minutes I think. Jenny will be excited to get Annie and Ruthie over to the house and back "with us" when the time comes.
The back of the house with the porches poured.
Kitchen cabinets minus the stain.
The stained mantle.
Stained kitchen cabinets. Turned out beautiful!!
All of the trim work (door facings, crown molding, base boards), vanities, and cabinets (except for the kitchen) are going to be white. This paint stunk soooooooo bad!!!
Justin and Jenny checking out the back sidewalks.
