Granddad's 80th!!

These are picts from Granddad's 80th b-day. We had a really great time and I think Granddad enjoyed it too. It was great to see family that we dont' get to see very often. It's neat how a family grows from just 2 people.

From 2 to almost 30!! This is almost all of the family now. We are growing every year!!

Jenny turned 2 in September!! We had a party with Justin's family on her birthday, and a party on the following Saturday with my family since we had a big bash for Granddad. She had a lot of fun, but wasn't real into everyone singing and looking at her. She's just too bashful to handle that.

August already?!?

I can't believe August is here already!! This year is flying by!!!! Rene was in town last weekend, and we had a good visit. These are picts of Jenny ready for church the past 2 weeks. She loves to sing: Jesus Loves Me, ABC's, Baa Baa Black Sheep, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, and many more--it is so precious!!

Ft. Worth Zoo

Jenny and I tagged along with Justin to DFW area. We hung out while he made some business calls. On Saturday, we went to the Ft. Worth Zoo. Jenny really liked it. I think her favorite part was the monkeys. We had a super trip!!

Justin's vacation

We went to up to Earth and somewhere in our travels Jenny got bit by something--spider, ant, somthing. The bite was on the arch of her foot and on Sunday it was huge and looked awful!! I called the dr. Monday morning (it was looking better by this time), and they told me to soak her foot in vinegar water. Well it worked best to do it while she was eating--so it looks like she is getting a red-neck spa treatment!! Well the vinegar water was amazing!! It made the bite smaller each time and you could tell where the ick was coming out from the middle. Anyhow, 2 days of vinegar water, wearing clean sock and shoes, and a little neo to go (which by the way is great too) and it was cured!!!

We went to Carlsbad Caverns this week. It was Jenny's and my first time. It was pretty amazing. It was over 100 degrees outside and we all wore clothes for that weather and so down in the cave it got a little chilly. I totally recommend you see the caverns; however, not with a child. You are supposed to be very quiet in there, and this was hard for Jenny. Understandibly--she's one after all.

We were able to just hang out around the house a little too. Playing in the sandbox and kiddie pool. I definitely think Justin did more playing in the sand than Jenny. : )

Justin went to gymnastics with Jenny this week too. He helped her out and had a little fun himself.

4th of July

We went up to Springlake for the 4th of July. We watched the parade with Memaw & Granddad, Randy & Petra (or "Peppa" as Jenny says it), and Shanna and her family. It was good to be back in such a familiar place with familiar faces.
